Sketch Gallery : Bodies The Exhibit

April 13, 2014

Last month I went to the Bodies The Exhibit held at the former Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park (conveniently just minutes away from my home) and marveled at the well preserved body parts and figures set up in interesting poses. And to think these are REAL human bodies, their identities unknown. It’s my first shot at on site sketching, armed with a giant sketchbook and a pencil I probably spent at most five minutes per figures, so as to not get in the way of other visitors.

A continuation of my figure drawing showcase, this time with color.  Not too many here I’m afraid, could only get it done on long poses. Someday soon I’ll try a little ‘speed’ painting with shorter poses…

Hi.  Some more b/w figure drawings from my Monday life drawing sessions.  The ones where there were two models was especially cool and challenging.  Sorry some of the pics didn’t come out right, bad angle and lighting, hehehe…

Here I am sharing with you my latest series of figure drawings from this life drawing sessions I’ve been attending the past few months. I’m always trying to improve my skills, and figures are the most critical. I mostly used charcoal, conte, and pencils, all in black and white. I do have few color ones as well, I’ll put them up later…
