AS HESTER PRYNNE WAS CONDEMNED
TO OPENLY BEAR ON HER BREAST,
THE CURSED LETTER IN RED,
FOR THE CRIME OF AN ADULTERESS;
I TOO CARRY A HEAVY BURDEN,
THOUGH ONLY MY EYES CAN SEE
INSCRIBED DEEP IN MY SKIN
THIS ONE LETTER D.
THE LETTER THAT BEGINS ALL THAT STANDS FOR ILL,
WORDS DESIGNED TO OFFEND, DESTROY, KILL
THE FRAGILE SOUL WITHIN…
This week I’m falling back on poetry mode. This is loosely inspired by the classic novel “The Scarlet Letter” but instead of the letter A I use the letter D, as you can see in the image all the negative words starting with that letter, all pertaining to me and my current state of negativity that I am constantly battling with. There’s just been a LOT of negative energy hanging around me lately, it’s too hard to explain right now. I think it has to do with this holiday season, I hear a lot of tragedies that tend to occur in the holiday season for all lost lonely souls out there with untold amount of pain and scars they cannot share and thus they deal with it the only way they know how. Course I won’t fall into that same trap, but it’s a battle I constantly face every year, especially the last three years. This will definitely not be the last time you’ll hear me in this gloomy state, sorry…
