2013 White Ink over xerox print on cardboard and tape Size unknown
The past decade we have witnessed the successful return of some of America’s most iconic comic book superhero ever to capture the imaginations of every kid on the block to the big screen: Batman, Spider-Man, and now, Superman. The quintessential heroes of the good old U.S. of A. And they are played by, ehem, British actors.
Ironic, methinks? The Americans fought tooth and nail with their Big British Brothers to get off their backs during the Revolution of 1776. And now, more than 230 years later they call upon their ‘estranged’ brothers from across the Atlantic to revive their beloved superheroes after number of screen mishaps (let’s face it, the last two Batman movies before 2000 was arguably the worst I’ve ever seen. And Superman Returns, em, I didn’t even bother with it, just looking at the trailer and I knew I wouldn’t miss much)
Now I don’t intend to offend either side here. I love America and I love Britain too. But it’s just too ironically funny to just pass it up…
