Pieces of Me

PIECES OF ME (a poem):

Who am I?

What is My purpose for living, and why?

Where do I go from here,

and how do I get there?

Like pieces of the jigsaw,

I take Myself apart;

Scatter them here and all,

And rebuild it from the start.

Every Piece has a Story,

The story about ME;

Each Piece has its worth,

Both big and small,

And I cherish them all.

From the day of my birth,

To whence I be ‘set free’ from this earth;

From the places I have gone,

To places lived;

The many faces I’ve encountered,

and few I’ve befriended;

Through all the good times,

and the bad ones;

Every Piece has a Story,

The story about ME;

Each Piece has its worth,

Both big and small,

And I cherish them all.
